I would fly again the whole experience was great. The only feed back I can give that they don't do that American Airlines does is the crew there is more humorous with boarding and thank their passengers. Delayed due to an ill passenger after loading.
Domestic flights to North CarolinaThe most popular flights to North Carolina we’ve come across at this time.
Flight cancelled and was told by a rude gate agent that they don’t accommodate on other airlines. Had to wait 5 hours for a connecting flight that had a 7 hour layover. Would not allow bags to be checked early so we couldn’t go through security .Had to rent a car for the afternoon to store bags and get a meal. No apology or reason given for the cancellation- just rudeness. The plane was delayed coming in and on the tarmac. I was coming from another flight so it made for a very long day.

That made for a long time not to have anything considering that we had just made it to the original gate and we had no time to stop to get food or a drink. Then we didn't want to leave the gate to get food because we wouldn't know how much longer the delay would be. Had we been told that the total time would have been aprox 45 min later we would have left to get food and a beverage. We had to wait again for the okay to the pilot to take off so we were on the runway for another 20 min. Overall, we were delayed over 2 hours which felt like 4 hours.

Summer is the best and trickiest time to book flights to Charlotte. When the pressure systems in the mid-Atlantic are irritated, hurricanes sweep through the city, so late August and early September should be avoided. The plane was old and you are required to connect your own device to their Wi-Fi rather than have entertainment options in the back of the seat in front of you. The Wi-Fi went out during the flight and there was only one plug for the devices every two seats. Three out of five surrounding my family did not work.
The stewardess kept trying to slam the overhead bins closed and I was worried that she had damaged my new luggage. They ran out of snacks and lccdsddd me a hummus box which was nice. It took them a very long time to pick up the garbage so I could not go to the washroom and had little time. The TV system was hard to control from the armrest and picture wasn’t clear. The crew did apologize several times for the lateness.
The airline should have better policy on limiting people with bad body odor to board the flight. Passengers should not be the ones to endure bad odor for the whole duration of the flight. The airline should be e the one to ensure decent air quality for ever passenger. Sort of wasted our first day of vacation. We left Pittsburgh at 630am and did not arrive in Mexico until late dinner time.

Charlotte Tilbury foundation review: we put every foundation to the test to see if they’re worth the hype....
When I find a brand that has not just a good enough shade, but a perfect match, the higher cost is justified. Charlotte Tilbury foundations also stay the shade they appear with little to no oxidation over time. Aka I can avoid the Oompa Loompa orange foundation effect I unknowingly rocked through the early 2000’s. If I had to pare down my collection to just one—after much deliberation (and probably some tears)— this Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation would be my pick. It offers medium coverage, that’s buildable to full, in a pretty, radiant finish that toes the line between dewy and matte.
BEAUTIFUL SKIN SUN-KISSED GLOW BRONZER1 FAIR
I love a good foundation—that blank canvas to try any contour technique or blush shade imaginable—in a range of finishes and coverages to mix it up each day. And if I had to pick one favorite foundation brand, it would hands down be Charlotte Tilbury. (Trust a redhead to create foundations for people of the pale persuasion.) The qualities of each product check all my boxes and each launch gets better than the last. After all of the hard work you’ve put in to get your foundation and concealer right, it’s always good to have a product that can keep it in place.
HYDRATION & RADIANCE SKIN DUOSKINCARE KIT
This foundation also has the largest shade range and the best spread of undertones and colors from dark to fair. The formula does contain both dimethicone and fragrance, which may be irritating if you are sensitive to either of those ingredients. It has nice options for fair, light, and medium tones, but dark and deep shades are non-existent. This is my plea to Charlotte herself to expand the line—I love the formula and want more people to be able to enjoy it.

The Tilbury powder has almond oil and rose wax in it, which helps to soften, nourish, and moisturize skin. The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish setting powder has a gorgeous texture with packaging that makes the product really easy to use.
It comes in a pretty straightforward compact, so all you need to do is use a brush to apply the product. Since the powder is sold as a product that blurs over imperfections, I decided to use a fluffy brush instead of a denser brush. I used my brush to place the product over my skin, softly spreading it out over my forehead, cheeks, and under-eye area. "Classic black and white is a chic way of dressing up a more casual interior style, like the trendy modern farmhouse," Marlaina Teich of Marlaina Teich Designs says. "The key with making this simple color palette work is layering in texture, which you can do by varying up the paint finishes." "My favorite color scheme is pink and teal," Michelle Gage, the principal and founder of Michelle Gage Interior Design says.

When you start with the colors you love, you are not bound by traditional color schemes for a particular decorating style. With your favorite color as your base color, you can use it to create a color scheme around it. Your favorite colors can be the perfect inspiration for your new color palette for the whole home. “A black with some depth can make a piece of furniture, cabinetry, ceiling or accent wall demand your guest’s attention,” he says. “It brings a dominant color to any room without being overbearing,” he says, adding that it’s been very popular on kitchen cabinetry, including islands.
10 Best Trim Paint Colors of 2024, According to Designers - Apartment Therapy
10 Best Trim Paint Colors of 2024, According to Designers.
With this list of the best paint colors for your home, we’ll make the process as simple as possible. Let’s start with a shade that climbed from number ten to the top spot in a year’s time. To simplify the process, the paint colors listed are fairly neutral, easy to match, and can be used in most rooms. Remember, every home is different and the amount of light in a room affects how colors look. Set a moody yet cozy scene by painting your living room walls and ceiling a soft shade of ebony.
Benjamin Moore Ruby Red
“I like my rooms to talk to one another, and a neutral can be the conversation facilitator,” McBournie says. For example, a neutral color on the trim and doors throughout the home can help connect the spaces. McBournie also uses a neutral as a “palette cleanser” on the walls of a room that may be between other rooms with stronger colors. "These days, I've found a way to use it in a way that feels fresh, modern, and not at all childlike. "Any touch of color against black—preferably high-glossed black—makes for a winning combination," Jonathan Rachman of Jonathan Rachman Design says. Kollar says her goal when crafting a palette is to start with a color that complements its surroundings.
To avoid a dull, drab look, incorporate a variety of textures and finishes into the design of your room. Visually interesting materials like leather, silk, linen, and sisal can easily add a dynamic richness to a neutral beige palette. Whether you choose foliage green or the laid-back blues of the beach, exterior-inspired color schemes are meant to be restful and relaxing. Be sure to sample your favorite paint colors at all times of the day and night and with the window treatments closed and open to get the most realistic view of your possible choices. One of the easiest ways to choose interior paint colors is to start with a print fabric. Throw pillows, bedding, and even table linens can provide you with paint color ideas.
Green Smoke, Farrow & Ball
If you're going to use your landscape as inspiration, observe some dos and don'ts of decorating with green. Monique Valeris is the home design director for Good Housekeeping, where she oversees the brand's home decorating coverage across print and digital. Prior to joining GH in 2020, she was the digital editor at Elle Decor.
Aura Interior Acrylic Paint & Primer
While grayish-green and white add a smidgen of crispness to the room, black anchors the rest of the elements. This palette is instrumental in designing interiors that have a sophisticated, modern, yet easygoing air. The dining room and living room can seem welcoming when donned in this palette. Playing around with these values can help your color scheme take on a deeper meaning and look more attractive. Although it seems simple, picking an effective color idea can make all the difference when creating a stunning interior design for your clients. Warm colors, cool colors, and muted colors, all have different effects on the mood.
For subtle emphasis, Sheri Thompson, director of color marketing and design for Sherwin-Williams, suggests painting molding or doorways just one step lighter or darker than the primary wall. “It’s a subtle shift in color but it really brings your eye to the detail,” she says. Today, however, finishes are also being used to create visual effects on the entire wall. Paint one wall in a flat or satin finish and the adjacent wall in a semi-gloss, both in the same color, and “when the light hits the walls, it creates a corduroy or velvet effect,” says Doty Horn. Similarly, you can paint the walls flat and the ceiling semi-gloss to achieve a matte and sheen contrast. (The ceiling will feel higher the more light-reflective it is.) Keep in mind that the higher the gloss, the more sheen and the more attention you draw to the surface.
Landscape-Like Paint Colors
Conversely, you can choose different interior color schemes for different areas of the house to add a fresh perspective. Some clients are more than willing to experiment with a varied color palette. You can get a complementary color scheme from room to room instead of focusing on the interiors of one room. You can be unpleasantly surprised by the undertones when choosing interior paint colors.
“When beginning a project, look to the home’s surrounding environment for color clues,” suggests Gary McBournie, a designer in Boston. However, some choices may be more appropriate for a specific home than others.” For example, the discord between a moody interior paint and the atmosphere of a seaside residence might be tough to pull off. Color is a reflection of light, so the kind and amount of light in a room will significantly impact a color scheme. Experiment with how natural light or light from lamps and recessed fixtures affects color in fabrics, paint, furniture, and other surfaces. An ever popular choice, white paired with some bright colors always delights.
There's a reason why professional designers can't get enough of these paint shades. In one project, designer Margaret Naeve Parker matched the color of the crown molding and baseboards with the original plaster walls. Blue works in almost any space, especially when paired with easy neutrals. For a high-drama space without using a ton of color, pick neutral shades and include luxe fabrics.
"Calke Green by Farrow & Ball is the perfect shade to try a floor-to-ceiling paint job." "We love incorporating color through texture. Injecting color through texture creates drama, even if you still want to keep a neutral palette," La Fleur explains. "My favorite color scheme at the moment is yellow and gray because it's both timeless and evokes modern sensibility," Kate Davidson of Kate + Co Design says. It’s more cool-toned than warm beige and is versatile, working well with light and dark trim.
Years of study are required to understand the significance of floor plans, room layouts, furniture placement, choosing decor, and more. But the most important aspect of this mind-blowing profession is learning about color ideas. Magazines and catalogs have always been the staple of decorating inspiration. You have access to thousands of pages of inspiration on the internet. Retailer sites can be inspiring with their room vignettes, and paint brands can also show you ways to use color in your home. Social media sites such as Pinterest and Instagram offer color inspiration that is refreshed in real-time.

The Committee will also review the General Services Administration's fleet vehicle leasing and sales programs, as well as look into government ownership of fleets in other modes of transportation. The Committee will monitor implementation of the memorandum issued by the President on January 21, 2009, reinstating a presumption in favor of disclosure. The Committee will also examine implementation of the OPEN Government Act of 2007 and the Electronic FOIA Amendments of 1996. In 2014, the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act) was signed into law.
House Committee on Oversight and Reform
The Department was ultimately formed by bringing together 22 different government offices, agencies, and components. Though the Department has made progress in integrating these various agencies, there is still room to improve efficiency and responsiveness. The Committee will evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of homeland security strategy, laws, initiatives, and technology. The Committee will identify ways to reform the interagency process and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse among the various U.S. national security agencies, departments, and foreign aid organizations.
The Committee will continue to monitor the SEC's implementation of the JOBS Act and Dodd-Frank Act. The issuance of guidance documents, interim final rulemakings, and settlement agreements, as well as the issuance of local, state, or federal taxes, fines, fees, or penalties. Additionally, the Committee will examine high speed rail developments and concepts throughout the country, as well as overseas, to help determine the most feasible and cost-effective way to improve mass transit.
House bill would shine a light on federal prisons’ dark problems
The Committee will continue to conduct oversight of the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Specifically, the Committee will focus on bringing transparency to the federal government's increased role in health care markets, with a focus on determining the impact of policies on consumer choice and insurance premiums. The Committee will continue to closely examine regulations promulgated under new PPACA authorities, and other executive branch actions, to ensure that they are consistent with the law. Furthermore, the Committee will continue to review health care policy, procedures, and practices at the federal, state, and local level. The creation of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) required one of the largest consolidations of federal agencies in history.
Although the Government Accountability Office (GAO), inspectors general, and whistleblowers continue to raise concerns about waste in federal spending, the executive branch and Congress often fail to adequately address the issue. The Committee's oversight will cover all federal government departments, agencies, and programs with an eye toward solutions for eliminating wasteful spending. Many of the following sections address specific areas where the Committee has an opportunity to make an immediate difference by addressing wasteful spending.
Press Statements
With forthright political courage, the House Budget Committee continues working to hold the Biden Administration accountable for its backdoor executive actions. The House Budget Committee’s FY2025 Budget Resolution calls for implementing legislation to empower Congress to rein in executive overreach, including the REINS Act and other commonsense reforms. This spending was put forth by the Biden Administration without Congressional approval, underscoring the need for increased oversight and transparency throughout the Executive Branch. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the main investigative committee of the United States House of Representatives.
The Committee will conduct oversight of policies, procedures, and programs affecting the safety and security of U.S. Department of State and U.S Department of Defense efforts to protect embassy personnel and property. With this goal in mind, the Committee will examine the state of U.S. energy transportation infrastructure, particularly oil and gas pipelines. Inadequate capacity has created major bottlenecks and forced producers to transport domestic oil and gas via such inefficient means such as rail and truck.
The Committee will conduct oversight and investigations pursuant to its legislative jurisdiction and its broad jurisdiction under House Rule X. Our solemn responsibility is to hold government accountable to taxpayers, because taxpayers have a right to know what they get from their government. We will work tirelessly, in partnership with citizen-watchdogs, to deliver the facts to the American people and bring genuine reform to the federal bureaucracy. Click HERE for a statement from House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington on a report of President Biden’s rulemaking is costing taxpayers over $1.4 trillion. The oversight act also calls for reporting tools such as an online form and a telephone hotline for “representatives of incarcerated people” and “multiple internal ways for incarcerated individuals” to privately submit complaints. Under the bill, which must be approved by the full House and Senate before becoming law, the Justice Department’s inspector general would conduct periodic prison inspections.
Additionally, the pipeline permitting process – involving agencies as varied as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of State, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission – is a contributing factor to network incapacity. While many federal regulations are necessary to effectively implement the laws that Congress passes to protect health, consumers, and the environment, federal regulations can also impose significant burdens on regulated industry. The Committee will place special emphasis on oversight of the federal regulatory process to ensure that federal regulators work to minimize unnecessary burdens on small businesses, job creation, economic growth, and competitiveness. In addition, the Committee will consider the role technology plays in advancing commercial and private travel. Oversight in this area will include looking into laws, regulations, and policies related to unmanned aerial vehicles and self-driving cars, for example.
In the 116th Congress ( ) with the gavel in the hands of New York Democrat Carolyn Maloney, the committee swung back into action. It held a record number of investigative hearings, despite the pandemic-shortened schedule. Many looked into the Trump administration’s handling of the pandemic crisis, for which the committee established a select subcommittee, chaired by Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), a powerful member of the House leadership. However, the number of policy and legislative hearings fell to one of the lowest figures of the period. The Committee will examine actions and plans USPS is taking to preserve universal service, avoid insolvency, improve financial management, and prevent a taxpayer bailout.
The Committee will also examine Department of Justice grants and other law enforcement assistance programs, such as the Department of Defense's 1033 program. In February 2015, the Government Accountability Office will issue its biannual High Risk report, which identifies government programs that are particularly vulnerable to waste, fraud, and abuse. The Committee will provide ongoing oversight of agencies and programs included on the High Risk list by holding hearings, meeting with agency officials responsible for included programs, and monitoring agencies' corrective plans and actions. The Committee will monitor and conduct oversight of federal agency information security practices that are required under FISMA and OMB guidelines, as well as the role of DHS and other federal agencies in these activities.
Oversight Committee Mission Statement
Furthermore, the Committee plans to offer targeted legislative proposals that go to the heart of this issue by proactively addressing the issue of waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement. This review will include compliance with financial management and accounting laws, as well as the security and reliability of federal financial systems. The Committee will also focus on agency efforts to reduce improper payments and achieve a clean government-wide audit. The Committee will conduct oversight of U.S. diplomatic, military, and development efforts to address the issue of global terrorism both in the short-term and long-term.
Reports
The Committee will examine and evaluate the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) and its progress in facilitating private-public information sharing. Federal agencies spent over $81 billion in fiscal year 2014 buying, operating, and maintaining information technology products, services, and systems. Many of these systems fail to deliver the productivity gains that were expected, or worse, simply fail. The Committee will review the federal government's information technology procurement and management policies to ensure that taxpayers are getting the maximum return for their money.
Chairman James Comer
The Committee will review federal contractor ethics and disclosure requirements, as well as the proper role of contracting for preferences and set-aside programs for small and disadvantaged businesses. The Committee will also continue to investigate improper payments distributed by federal agencies. Under the 2002 Improper Payments Information Act (IPIA), federal agencies are required to annually review all programs and activities to identify those entities susceptible to significant improper payments. The size of DOD's budget accounts for a significant portion of the federal government's total spending and, as a result, the United States has never produced an audit of its financial statements. The Committee will focus on overseeing DOD's financial management processes and its progress towards becoming auditable. As a part of this oversight, the Committee will examine the regulatory and enforcement actions of the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Activity fell sharply in the 115th Congress ( ), the first year of the Trump administration, under new Chair Trey Gowdy (R, S.C.), former chair of the House Select Committee on Benghazi. It has authority to investigate the subjects within the Committee's legislative jurisdiction as well as "any matter" within the jurisdiction of the other standing House Committees. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the main investigative committee in the U.S. The Committee will also conduct oversight on the Department of the Interior's regulatory responsibilities. The focus of this oversight will be the impact of the Department's regulatory and policy agenda and how these environmental laws affect private landowners, small businesses, and all public land users.
Hearings
The Committee will closely monitor the executive branch's efforts to stop IT projects that are not on target, streamline those that are wasteful, and work to ensure that inefficient legacy systems are decommissioned. The Committee will closely examine laws, regulations, and policies governing the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The Committee's interagency jurisdiction allows for the examination of the effectiveness, efficiency, and cooperation of all U.S. Government agencies and departments with a role in national security and foreign operations. The Committee will review the process by which the 2020 Decennial Census will be conducted, its level of accuracy, and the appropriateness of the Decennial's overall budget. The successful planning of the 2020 Decennial Census will determine the level of funding in 2018, 2019, and 2020, the years that account for most of the Census Bureau's funding.
The Committee will specifically review the January 2015 Metro incident at L'Enfant Plaza, and will monitor WMATA's response. The Committee will review the District's use of federal education funds authorized under the Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act. The Committee will continue to conduct oversight of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and review the actions it took in monitoring financial fraud with respect to third-party payment processors. The Committee will review the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) cybersecurity framework and its impact on the private sector.
The Committee will review the impact of federal IT mandates under laws such as the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), the E-Government Act of 2002 and the Clinger-Cohen Act. The Committee will seek input from government employees on the front lines of procurement and implementation to determine whether these mandates have improved data security, public access, and IT enterprise planning – and at what cost. This oversight plan contains a detailed list of matters for oversight and investigation that will advance the Committee's mission to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the federal government and all its agencies. The Committee will retain the flexibility to investigate instances of waste, fraud, and abuse as they emerge, and to conduct oversight of other issues as appropriate.
House Republicans open new investigation into FTC - Global Competition Review
House Republicans open new investigation into FTC.
This oversight will focus on the impacts of the current ban on crude exports and the implementation of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) export program. The Committee will also conduct oversight of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with a focus on ensuring that FDA strikes the right balance between the availability of drugs and medical devices and patient safety. The Committee will examine the causes and effects of critical pharmaceutical drug shortages, recent increases in the price of certain generic drugs, and the policies and procedures in place to protect the public from the outbreak of dangerous or deadly diseases. The Committee will examine domestic and international efforts to better track aircraft and identify ways to close existing gaps in global positioning systems caused by the use of outdated technology. Currently, air traffic controllers rely on human pilots to track aircraft in areas where radar does not exist, including over the oceans. The Committee will also review the issuance of visas and passports, as well as other border control and security identification issues.
The Committee will also examine the increase in federal entitlement programs, with a focus on waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement within those programs. The Committee intends to conduct oversight of policies, strategies, and role in cybersecurity. This includes examining breaches of government, contractor, and private sector networks as well as the role federal agencies play in cyber incident threat intelligence, management and response, and cybersecurity risks to the private sector. The Committee will continue its efforts related to oversight of waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement of federal government spending.
The Committee's oversight will include, but not be limited to a review of U.S. military combatant commands, especially AFRICOM, SOUTHCOM, U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. Institute of Peace, and the State Department. In particular, the Committee will monitor the status of reconstruction efforts in Haiti. The Committee has legislative jurisdiction over the District of Columbia, the government procurement process, federal personnel systems, the Postal Service and other matters.
The Committee will focus on problems at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in an effort to minimize the amount of taxpayer money misspent through Medicare and Medicaid. Changes in technology present government agencies with new possibilities and new challenges. The Committee will continue to monitor agency misuse of technology and identify oversight failures.
A particular focus will be placed on the Bureau's ability to successfully utilize technology to significantly reduce costs. The Committee will also review the non-decennial operations of the Census Bureau to identify opportunities for savings by improving efficiency and reducing waste. The Committee will also seek to determine if the Bureau's data collection activities are overly broad and whether they serve legitimate public interests. The cost of contract spending more than doubled from FY 2001 ($223 billion) to FY2010 ($540 billion). Contract spending began to decline in FY 2011 ($539 billion) and continued to decline through FY 2013 ($462 billion). Still, the FY 2013 contract spending total was more than double the spending in FY 2001 ($223 billion).

VOOM, the Internet aboard Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruise ships, is fast and consistent, but with a price tag to match. Regardless of whether or not you agree with the policy, the fact is that many cruise staff members rely on tips and gratuities. These days, most of the gratuities you’ll be expected to pay will automatically be added to all onboard purchases. The standard cruise gratuity is 15%, though this is adjustable in your onboard account. It’s important to note that you do not have to pay these gratuities, but if you enjoyed the service from your stateroom and dining staff, you should pay them. “Okay, Cruisewatch,” you might say, “That’s all well and good, but I’m a lone wolf.

Longer-Term PricingDuring the stop, the major cruise companies took on massive amounts of debt to survive. Now as cruising resumes, they are focused on improving their balance sheets. Cruise lines have said repeatedly that demand is strong and onboard spending is at considerably higher levels than before the pause. Don’t forget to factor in the cost of transportation to get to and from the cruise ship. We have specific estimates (using actual figures from the cruise lines!) below. The real question is whether you want to spend more on the base cruise fare to immerse yourself in the world of Disney versus paying less for another family-friendly cruise line.
Premium
Others purchase drink packages, gamble in the casino, and generally live it up the entire trip. Even though many activities, dining options and entertainment are included in the cost of your cruise, you will find things to pay extra for on a Disney cruise. These may or may not be worth it for your family, depending on your budget and interests. Below is a list of things not included in your overall cruise fare. If you're looking for a cheap Caribbean or Bahamian sailing, consider a three-night Bahamas cruise on Disney Magic starting at $1,500 for an inside cabin for two people.
Room service is sometimes an extra surcharge between $5-$10 per order. Each cruise line is different with how they handle a drinks package but usually, you’ll have the option to get a non-alcoholic package or an alcoholic beverage package. Drinks packages start from around $12 for a soft drinks package up to $130 for a premium drinks package. No matter which cruise line you decide to go with, your fare should always include accommodation, meals, and some onboard entertainment.
Alaska Cruisetours
With the exception of many luxury cruises and, somewhat oddly, Norwegian Sky, prepare to pay for all alcoholic drinks and specialty coffees while on the ship. Many cruise lines also charge for sodas and bottled water, at least outside of meal times. Read on for our full guide on cruise expenses down to the drinks packages, shore excursions, and even gratuities as they can all add up during your cruise ship vacation.
The concierge lounge team is also not included in prepaid gratuities for concierge guests, and Disney recommends $8 per night per guest. While most onboard entertainment is free, you can expect to pay extra for a handful of over-the-top activities. Carnival Cruise Line's rollercoaster, Norwegian Cruise Line's go-karts and Royal Caribbean's iFly skydiving experience are examples of extra-fee activities. In most cases, unless there is a special at the time you book your cruise, you will pay extra for having any number of guests in a cabin other than two.
Mainstream cruise lines are known for their over-the-top offering with cool features such as rock climbing walls, ice skating rinks, and water slides. 24-hour buffets, grand shows, kids clubs, and even nightclubs where you can party until the sun comes up mean that the fun never needs to stop. All passengers regardless of their home country, citizenship or country of residency are responsible for obtaining the proper documentation for travel.
How to Lower Cruise Prices: Saving Money on Shore Excursions
Many lines will allow you to bring a bottle or two of wine onboard, but you might have to pay a corkage fee if you drink it in a restaurant. Read about the best cruise ship alternative restaurants that are definitely worth paying for. You can enjoy specialty restaurants and food while keeping the cost of a cruise manageable. Even room service, once free 24/7, now comes with a surcharge on many lines, with fees applied for certain items during certain late-evening hours or all the time. When booking any independent tour, always plan to arrive back at the ship well before the all-aboard time for passengers. Unlike those on ship-sponsored tours, ships will generally not wait for passengers who arrive late to the vessel after independent touring.
Carnival Cracks Down on High Stakes Activity on Pool Deck
Alaska, for example, consistently has some of the industry's highest per-person excursion costs, while many Caribbean itineraries offer tours for less. If you want the full cruise experience, you'll need to set aside some cash to cover these extra expenses. To make sure the incidentals don't break the bank for you, here are 10 things that will cost you extra onboard (and how to score them at a discount). Between getting to the port to excursions to the actual cruise itself, the costs can add up, making budgeting more difficult.
Some even offer an open bar to their guests, such as Seabourn, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas. Check out our compilation of cruises that include alcohol in your fare for more info. It’s worth noting that each cruise line’s all-inclusive package may differ, so it’s a good idea to read the fine print and understand exactly what is and isn’t included before booking. Still, these numbers give us actual figures as to what was paid by passengers to cruise lines according to the last 3-4 earnings reports. We gathered information from the biggest cruise companies in the world, that also happen to be public companies.
Cruise lines sell shore excursions -- guided tours and experiences in the various ports of call -- but they do inflate prices above what the actual tour operators charge. There are some things you may want to do or experience on your cruise -- but they may cost you extra. And those fees can quickly increase overall cruise prices and your final bill. Signing up for rewards or loyalty programs with cruise lines can also offer discounts or extra onboard credit. Some cruise lines may even offer “cash back” rebates on the price of your cruise ticket. Other cruise lines, like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, focus on providing the highest quality connection possible.

In the end, all COVID-era travel entails weighing available information in light of personal health factors and one’s tolerance for risk. The new CDC color code system for cruise ships offers one more metric to help make these tough decisions. A color-coded system developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) can provide helpful information about the COVID-19 status of cruise ships operating or planning to operate in U.S. waters. The outbreak of 27 cases aboard the ship was discovered on the fourth day of an eight-day cruise, shortly before the ship docked in Belize.

All passengers and crew have to show proof that they’re fully vaccinated, reports said. The CDC has recently reported that 15 of the 24 ships currently sailing in U.S. waters with paying passengers have experienced outbreaks of the virus on board. "We have always required vaccinations. From our restart in July, 95+% guests have been vaccinated. We meet the definition of a vaccinated cruise," a Carnival spokesperson told NBC News' Kerry Sanders on Tuesday. "And we added the testing requirement on July 28. (August) 28 is when new guidelines for the Bahamas go into effect." Starting last Saturday, Carnival began requiring passengers to wear their masks in indoor areas. Starting this Saturday, all passengers will need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to board.

For example, he is projecting that ships sailing from Port Canaveral will operate at 50% of their double-occupancy capacity from October through December 2021. Then, he is projecting that they will operate at 75% of their double-occupancy capacity from January through September 2022. Carnival said it also has a process in place to randomly test a large percentage of its crew on a rotating basis multiple days per week, even though all are vaccinated. In the Mardi Gras incident, three Carnival Cruise Line passengers had COVID-19 on the inaugural sailing of the ship from Port Canaveral on July 31. Carnival Cruise Line failed to reveal any information regarding the number of infected guests or crew members on this ship. The two passengers are asymptomatic but in isolation while the cruise line conducts contact tracing, the statement said.
CORONAVIRUS - LIVE MAP OF CRUISE SHIPS AFFECTED BY NOW
The appearance of COVID-19 on the Mardi Gras as cruising returned to Port Canaveral is a sign of just how precarious the restart of cruising can be. Twenty-seven people sailing on Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Vista ship have tested positive for COVID-19. Of those who tested positive, 26 are crew members and one person is a passenger, according to a news release from the Belize Tourism Board Wednesday. After leaving one Carnival Vista passenger with COVID-19 alone in a sub-standard hospital in Belize and sailing on to the next port (Cozumel), Carnival belatedly claimed that “it was highly unlikely Ms. Tackett contracted the coronavirus aboard the ship .

Panorama’s entire 1,400-member crew is fully vaccinated, according to the company’s website. All passengers, regardless of vaccination status, must present a negative COVID-19 test result from within three days of embarkation. Unvaccinated guests must take another test prior to embarkation and a third test 24 hours into the voyage if the cruise is longer than four days.” AXIOS reported last week that Carnival announced new mask guidelines, which say that all guests are required to wear masks indoors. A number of cruise lines have strengthened COVID-19 regulations on U.S. sailings as the delta variant continues to spread.
